Founded in 1962, Pemberton Wildlife Association is arguably the oldest association in the Corridor dedicated to promoting conservation, preservation, and enhancement of wildlife and outdoor recreational resources. Pemberton Wildlife Association is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit organization formed with the recognition that involvement in outdoor activities lead to true appreciation of nature, knowledge and advocation for conservation and protection.
Over the past 6 decades, the PWA has played a very active role through science, conservation, education and ‘boots on the ground’ volunteer labour to safeguard fish, wildlife and wild places while maintaining access to forest, mountain and other recreational areas around our beautiful and pristine Valley.
The PWA also operates a shooting range that facilitates several disciplines of shooting sports and teaches safe firearms handling.
As part of education, PWA continually involves residents in its attempts
PWA advocates the common interests of ethical hunters, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts dedicated to the responsible stewardship of our environment.
The aims of the Association are carried out without the purpose of gain for its members and any profit or another accretion is used towards furthering its goals.
